Can you give us a potted history of Benems?
Benems is a family run business trading in its 29th anniversary year – and the name is an anagram of my children’s names Ben & Emma
Benems motto is: “Where YOU the customer comes first, every time.” An old fashioned value that is often forgotten, one that Mr Selfridge prided himself on all those years ago. Without our customers we would have no business so Benems heart is its customers new and old. At Benems the whole team work as a team, from selection, estimating, and pricing to the final fitting, making the customers vision become a reality. Valuing each and every opportunity as important, regardless of how big or small the job is. Out of little acorns come big oak trees.
Today, what do you offer? Much more than just what’s under your feet – apart from our values and pride in installation and service & guiding our customers, we offer Carpets , Room size remnants, Luxury Vinyl (LVT) flooring, Laminate and bespoke Stair Runners and Rugs made to order BUT that’s not all we have Fireplaces to suit all budgets and styles and our own fitting teams, From Solid fuel stoves, to Gas fires and or Electric and the new evolving Media walls – plus we have added, our comfort and accessories, from a quirky ornaments cushions, Lamps, or maybe a Fragrance to scent your home.
What do you think makes the business different from competitors? We are family run- we care and take pride in all we do – We are friendly and approachable and really want your experience to be a positive one from start to finish, we are award winning across all aspects as voted by our customers, year on year. We support local charities and sponsor two football teams giving back to our local community.
What’s new for 2025? New styles, colours across all our ranges – whether it be flooring, Fireplaces and or home accessories, interiors making your home Your castle..
What do you love best about your job? I love hearing the happiness of returning customers – proud of any of our Team that has engaged within their installation in the home, or how did you hear about us? ‘Oh we were recommended the best place to go’ ** Is music to our/my ears…. Then watching the younger generations returning so a daughter or Son who used to eat our sweets and run around the store returning as a young adult setting out with their first New home with proud parenhts or Grandparents previous customers of ours – travelling to outside our perimeters as Customers retire and still want the family run experience – or moving to relocate.
Every day is different and we value each and every order, and this is the experience we want for our customers. Or maybe Question: – I want something strange or different can you help – YES we can we always look for solutions.
